I’ve had a busy, tiring, stressful week.
I have bad but good news..
A few months ago, back in December, I had a well women exam and my doctor mentioned she felt a lump in my breast.
As time went on I kept an eye on the area and soon noticed the lump had been growing in size and became visible to the eye.
I went on Monday for a referral for imaging – my doctor said it had to be a cyst for I’m too young for any troubles.
I had an ultrasound scheduled for today, after having my requested ultrasound the technician asked if I would mind hanging out for a bit, she wanted the doctor who specializes in breasts [can I have this job?] review the images and asked if I could stay in my gown in case he wanted to do any further exams..
This irked me.
I’m just getting a test, how am I getting results now. Usually you go in and take the pictures and wait for a phone call.
My ultrasound revealed a tumor in my right breast, the doctor thinks it’s benign and we are doing a core biopsy Friday morning to be 100% certain.
I was debating on letting everyone know my news, but in the light of my doctor saying I’m to young for something like this it really makes me think that breast cancer ( benign or malignant) needs awareness no matter the age.
Check those boobies, standing up, laying down, in the mirror during all times of the month!!
